Saturday Swap Shops

In partnership with quirky, creative venue Dock 29, situated close to the water at Leeds Dock, the festival team have created a successful and very sociable monthly clothes exchange event to encourage people to meet and swap their unwanted clothing, accessories and household items. This is a way of encouraging people, not only to visit our wonderful waterfront, but to reduce their consumption and actively recycle and reuse. The monthly swap shop uniquely accepts children's and men's clothing too, so no one gets left out from the fun!

Leeds Waterfront Festival might be an annual celebration of all that is wonderful about Leeds waterfront but the team also work all year round to provide unique opportunities and experiences designed to inspire local people to take a trip down to the water!

The clothes exchange is great fun! Simply turn up with up to 15 items you no longer need, you know the kind of thing....you love it but it will simply never fit or actually suit you! The items need to be in good condition, just like you'd want to find.

Bring them along, register with us and they get swapping! You'll earn a point for each item you bring and if you don't manage to use all your points up on your first visit, they'll remain safely in the bank until the next time you visit!

You can come on your own, the team are really friendly and will make you feel very welcome or even bring the kids, the special kids section will keep them busy and they'll love finding their own swaps!

The bar is accessible and family friendly and serves an all day brunch from 10am. We are always on the look out for volunteers so if you'd like to get more involved just drop the team a line at saturdayswapshop@gmail.com or check out the Facebook page.
