Story Time with Royal Armouries on Sunday!
Amazing tales are on the menu on Sunday thanks to the wonderful people at The Royal Armouries Museum. Situated at Leeds Dock, they will be filling the outdoors ampitheatre adjacent to the museum with actors telling their stories throughout the day! Here's a list of all the planned tales, taking you through history in a fun and interactive journey through time. This event is FREE and suitable for all ages!
11AM - Normans: Hastings 1066 - Hear a Norman warrior tell the story of the famous battle that changed the course of English history.
12PM - Second World War: D-Day 6 June 1944 - Hear one man’s experience of the day the Allies’ fortunes changed.
1PM - Middle Ages: Thrill of the Chase - Listen to this tale of a daring hunt in medieval England.
2PM - Victorian: Whale of a Tale! - Discover the true story of a whale that turned on its hunters and destroyed their ship.
3PM - Tudors: The Field of Cloth of Gold 1520 Tour - Discover the greatest tournament in sporting history in the reign King Henry VIII.
There will also be a Cross Bow Range from 10.30AM to 4.30PM on the day too! Why not test your skills on our crossbow range too! It costs £3 for 8 bolts and payment can be made at reception or on the door. Last entry for this is at 4.20PM!
