Leeds Waterfront Festival 2009

Building on the success of last year the Leeds Waterfront Festival is back for 2009, and promises to be bigger and better than last year!

The festival, which aims to bring the waterfront to the heart of the city, is set to run over two days, and will take place over three key waterfront sites - Brewery Wharf, Clarence Dock and Thwaite Mills. It brings visitors and city dwellers down to the waterside to enjoy a fun-packed weekend of arts, culture and entertainment.

With last year’s event attracting over 5000 visitors to the waterfront over one day we are hoping for an even bigger turn out this year over the two days.

The events festival will feature a broad mix of performances to appeal to all tastes, including jazz, rhythm and blues, street theatre, performers, bands, on the water activity, walks by the Civic Trust, living sculptures, and river cruises - all set against a background of an arts mix market displaying handmade arts and craft.

Live Music • Street Entertainers • Arts & Crafts • Guided Walks
River Cruises • Boat Parade • Canoe Water Polo • Art Walk
